Five US airlines increase their flights to Havana despite Trump measures

The Department of Transportation proposed that routes be assigned to American, Delta, United, Southwest and JetBlue. There could be 20 daily flights between cities in the United States and Havana.

The routes became available after airlines such as Alaska Airlines, Spirit and Frontier canceled air travel to the island, arguing low demand.

The transit could be affected due to the measure of the government of President Donald Trump to restrict tourism to Cuba.

Americans must have one of 12 reasons to travel to the island, including visiting relatives.

American and Delta could include a daily flight from Miami; Southwest one daily from Fort Lauderdale, Florida; United six a week from Houston; and JetBlue six a week from Fort Lauderdale and one a week from Boston.
